The carpets Burling are unique pieces, custome-made from old carpets and hand-woven by craftmen from Anatolia plains. Found in the Turkish villages, the carpets are exposed to the sun and humidity so they have a vintage look and are marked by the patina of time. They are then dyed in several colours according to an environmentally-friendly process. The original patterns are discretely present on the carpets. Finally, the carpets are hand-cut and hand-gathered, creating a unique patchwork and a hitherto unseen meeting between ancestral skills and contemporary design.
